2 years ago I skipped the corporate life and started living on my own terms.
Enough handling leaders and CEOs. Enough clients Deadlines that I can’t control. Enough stress.
I chose to live in a beautiful place called Dahab, It is also called “the lost paradise” Unique, stunning and unusual place. Follow along if you want to visit a new unique unforgettable place.
Where Is Dahab And Why Is It Such A Wonderful Place?
- Dahab is located at south Sinai, Egypt. Considered one of the most famous diving spots in all the world.
- Dahab is a simple humble place, more like a town. You can find anything you need in a simplified form. That is also one of the reasons why it is a very special place. For those who do Yoga, meditation and other kinds of spiritual sports, this is the perfect place, enjoy the quiet.
- Even more, Dahab is one of the best windsurfing spots, we have such strong wind condition most of the year, which is very good for windsurfers and kite surfers.

Dahab Egypt Guide: Why Chose Dahab?
Dahab is a very calm place that is what I love the most about it.
Not very crowded, people smile & greet each other in Dahab. Well! Most of them.
Few people means few toxic fumes and less noise. I love the sea, love snorkeling, and I love laying on the beach. I don’t do windsurfing but my husband does, and this location is perfect for the sport.
Dahab Egypt Guide: Planning Your First Visit To Dahab
Golden rule for Sinai/ Egypt visits:
If you can’t stand the hot weather, don’t visit during the summer, AKA, May, June, July, August. The sun can literally burn you. You will be spending your vacation sleeping ill, rather than having fun. God!! No one wants that.
Depending on your vacation length you can decide whether you want to visit other places or Dahab will be enough. Nearby you can find:
Sharm El Sheikh, City Of Peace
Located on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, in South Sinai. It is a big city compared to Dahab which is considered a town not a city.
There you can find many Hotels, resorts, night clubs, supermarkets, vets. Almost anything. Along with its luxury life you can still enjoy the desert life, snorkeling and diving.
Major differences between Dahab and Sharm El Sheikh are, the wind-surfing, kite-surfing and diving spots.
For wind-surfing and kite-surfing you need good wind condition which is not always ideal at Sharm.
For diving, Sharm is very famous hosting the free diving contests worldwide.
But Dahab has a more diverse maritime life. Both are special, but I think Dahab is better anyway! Yes I love Dahab!!

Located at the outskirts of the El Tur Mountains at an elevation of 1,586 m (5,203 ft).
The only place in Egypt where you can actually find snow! Yes it is a very exciting thing to have here.
You can visit that mountain and enjoy climbing, for spectacular views.
You can see a very big set of mountains, along the chain of the red sea. You can also see the Saint Catherine Monastery. Originally built between 548 and 565, the monastery is one of the oldest working Christian monasteries in the world.
More like Dahab, Nuweibaa is famous for its simplicity.
Having very few Luxury hotels, this area suites a style more like ‘camping.’ Stargazing is amazing here.
For those who want to skip the busy life part, Nuweibaa is the perfect spot. Enjoy the sea in the morning and lay by the beach at night. Here you can relax and enjoy doing nothing at all.
That is not it, this is a very general guide about what you can find at South Sinai, a magical beauty.
